I don't quite know what has become of Steven Spielberg... This movie sure has his usual mark, but as a whole is simply fails... This is a story about one of the Israeli hit teams sent out to eliminate the plotters of the 1979 Munich attacks. Though inspired in true events, it's clear that what happened in the movie as well as the book, some parts are mostly assumptions if not fabrications. But anyway, cheers for Eric Bana role as heart of stone turned into saddenned and paranoid former Mossad agent, the rest falls into the stereotype catalogue. The music score was good enough, however the juxstaposition between a sex scene and the hostages getting shot are a bit forced and akward. Another thing you can write down on the whole matter: the Islari PM in the film was willing to act based on selective hits, whereas in reality, she was rendered powerless by being denied the costudy of said assassins once again making the point that spilling jewish blood on German soil was not a crime. A good film, but probably not Oscar-worthy...
