Since the collapse of the KGB,most of the disinformation comes from movie reviews.The people who made this film know about gangsters-they know nothing about the CIA.Which explains why the only credible scene is of Joe Pesci playing Sam Giancana.Angleton is made to tell Giancana:"We (CIA) own this country,the rest of you are just passing through." AS played by DAmon,Angleton was an autistic Anglo bureocrat.In fact he was Catholic,a strongly independent mad genius,and about 1 foot taller.Angleton got right the most important question in CIA(or academia or journalism)the problem is not collecting information,it is making sense of that information in real time.He may have been nuts but he still did a better jog of analysis tham the current bunch.
