Stay was visually delightful. The cinematography and editing were both grand. The acting was delicious. And as a film student, I truly enjoyed it visually. HOWEVER, the message was lost. And I feel that as filmmakers, we should deliver a message through our work to the whole world. If nobody knows what the hell is going on in the movie, then how are you going to deliver that message, that cost you so much time, money, and effort to create? Watching STAY is like hearing a very beautiful opera sang in some 3rd world language; One can appreciate it for what it is, but still walks away feeling clueless.
