I must say, after watching Shopgirl, that your review is a bit tainted with immaturity. Even as a male, I found it progressively bold, florid, and poetic. Needless to say, it was one of the better scripts of the year as well. Mirabelle is also one of the most engaging, originally crafted characters as well. Danes steals the movie, but Martin is such a noteworthy slime, and Schwartzman is a comedic divinity. I must say...to give another film I watched this weekend---> ""North Country"" an A- (one of the most cliche ridden borefests I've ever sat through, not more than three quarters of the way) and to give Shopgirl a D+...you should really consider giving someone else a voice on reviewing films, especially considering most people and the audience this weekend gave a big thumbs up and critical nods to ""Shopgirl,"" and overwhelmingly rejected Charlize Theron's boring ""North Country."" Your reviewer seems a gargantuan step out of the norm, and feverishly immature considering his comments.
