Owen Wilson is one of the new fastest growing starts in Hollywood and known as an all around fun guy. Even though he's been a star primarilly on comedies he does fit like a glove in this war thriller. A movie about the Kosovo war, sees Burnett, a navigator getting shot down by enemy troops during a recon mission and his pilot gets killed. Now he's alone, outgunned and outnumbered he must survive with the aid of the Admiral. Wilson nails this character perfectly, acting both as a traumatized soldier on the run by soldiers and a ruthless sniper out to catch him. The movie is action-packed and full of suspense, it also helped that one of the writters was involved with the sci-fi action/horror classic Predator because it's roughly the same tension and roughly the same atmosphere. Nothing much to add to Gene Hackman who sits on the sidelines arguing with established portuguese star Joaquim de Almeida as Piquet. But the real movie is about Wilson's survival and trying to outmanouver his enemies. Pretty intense film with great loads of action.
