When a little knowned director named George Lucas made a simple teen comedy film by a low budget and took about 3 months to shoot it nobody expected it to become such a cult hit and one of the greatest comedies of all times. Set in the early 60's, we witness a group of friends go through a series of adventures on their last night. The movie has them start togheter and each take a separate storyline on that same night. This movie is a solid reminder of what teen comedies are all about, unlike of today's teen movies that go for offensive and suggestive themes up to a point that's nearly absurd and not funny. This movie is very funny and at the same time relatable, which each storyline carying it's own specific theme, themes that teens care about actually, and most of them remains true even in this day and age, where teen comedies border on satizfying the male audience rather then having real characters with real issues. It's a great movie and it comes packed with great music from the 60's.
