Well, it's a nice looking movie. The cinematography wasn't unique, but it used visuals well. MY only hope is that the Grudge 2 won't be this bad. Anyways, this movie was so predictable, even the deer going berserk. Unfortunately I found myself calling the shots as I watched the movie. The storyline was so thin. Maybe if they could have put this flick up the rating notch a bit it would have been better. When I go to a movie to be scared I need some type of visual gore to aid in the fright of the human condition. This screen burner had nothing. I wasn't the only one laughing. The theater was filled with those who were scared and those who saw through the magic and seriously began laughing at the stupid human tricks. This movie is a twilight Zone 30 minute episode, not a feature film. Sorry, but this could have, and it should have been a hell of a lot better.

I was so disappointed with this movie. I rather enjoyed the first one and this sequel basically took all of the ""rules"" established in that movie and threw them out the window. So....suddenly Samara doesn't need the video anymore? Huh? Attack of the killer deer? I didn't realize this was ""when animals attack part 5"". The ""plot"" and I use the term loosely, is so thin and boring that I chuckled my way through the whole movie. And the totally pointless ""f-bomb"" at the end in order to get a PG-13 rating was idiotic. Yes there were some nice effects but that's not enough to make up for lack of plot, actors on autopilot, and the million other things wrong with ""The Ring 2"".
