I think Ferrell is just ok. There is a generation just below me (I'm 35) that idolizes Ferrell, Ben Stiller, and Vince Vaughn and frankly, I just don't get it. My best guess is their brains are programmed to automatically think Saturday Night Live is funny (and the Ferrell class beats out only the Quaid-Cusack-Downey and the current Fey-Sanz-Dratch ensembles on the funny meter). Two parts of the movie did put a smile on my face though: the over-the-top ridiculous street fight was fun, and the ""Afternoon Delight"" number was unexpected and cool.
