This movie would be great if it were a video game that you were playing. But, sadly, instead it is a movie. The basic plot idea is fine. But what really bothered me is that the characters behaved without any sense of logic or self. In the beginning, Smith (a cop) goes out on a limb investigating a robot on his own. As the robot escapes his grasp, suddenly there is a HUGE SWAT team/army there to aid (unsuccessfully) in the capture. Smith did not call for backup, and his superiors seemed to be in the dark as to what Smith was doing there. Yet, there was an unexplainable SWAT team present at the scene. The movie plods on and on like this: Smith follows his clues and is thrust into situations of mass destruction (sometimes with massive police support and weaponry), then afterward gets grilled by police sargeants who do not believe him one bit and consider him a loose cannon and loner. He gets discouraged, but then is drawn back in by the beautiful young female by-the-book scientist. Complete cycle three times and call it a movie. Waste of time
