Anyone else stoked for the upcoming Mamma Mia! movie coming out this summer? I saw the musical in Vegas a couple of years ago and totally fell in love with it. Something about ABBA songs and a cute storyline that got me. =) My friend at UMGD gave me a heads up that the soundtrack will be out July 8th, so I preordered my copy at Amazon as soon as I found out. I mean, really, Meryl Streep singing?! I cannot wait!
Anyone else excited for the soundtrack/movie?
Here's a clip of the music video for "Gimme Gimme Gimme!"
ENJOY!

Excuse me! You have no right WHATSOEVER to diss ABBA or Mamma Mia! The Movie. In Mamma Mia, every song was carefully placed to the story so it DIDN'T punch the audience in the face with surprise. The songs are SUPPOSED to make you realise how wonderful life is! You are a shameful git who needs to learn how to reveiw movies!!!

Correction, I have every right to "diss" ABBA and Mamma Mia! Now what was it you were saying? I am sorry, over all the name calling and telling me what I can and cannot do I forgot to pay attention to you.

I saw the movie today and it played to a packed theater of mostly gay men and those of us old enough to remember dancing and listening to ABBA songs in our youth. People in the audience were actually singing every time a song came on, so brace yourselves for Mamma Mia Sing-A-Long. The movie is funny one way or another, granted is a "check your brain at the door" movie, but it did made me laugh. It made me question: "Is there anything Merryl Streep CAN NOT DO ?? " but most of all it made me realize that Pierce Brosnan can NOT sing, of course I am sure he does not care about my opinion on his singing ( or anybody else's) and he is laughing all the way to the bank. I must admit it was sheer JOY to watch the last two musical numbers, the ones where the credits roll. Will I watch it again ? NO. Will I buy the DVD? NO. I just realized nobody really cares about my opinion on the movie.
