I've seen a couple of trailers at the theater. But I didn't see anything in them that explained how he got his "Superman" like powers. Anyone know?

Great movie in my eyes. It was probably one of the more recent summer blockbuster movies that wasn't a sequel or based off a comic/toy/book and it really hit the spot. Obviously Will Smith delivers in this one but I have to say I've been a huge fan of Jason Bateman and he does a great job in this as well. The only problem I have with the movie is that it really only lasted about an hour and a half, including the trailers. Hopefully the Blu-Ray disc comes with a very extended version along with some bloopers and behind the scenes. Will Smith always seems to be such a great guy off set and those special features really help me to buy the disc.

I didn't like the trailer so I didn't watch it. I though it was another super hero movie.

But I wouldn't say that the movie itself also sucks because like what I've said, I did not watch it.
