Five Thesps have 'Animal' Attraction
Horror reels in the lesser knowns
Mark Blucas, Nicki Aycox, Eva Amurri, Andy Comeau and Naveen Andrews (pictured) have all signed on to star in the horror film Animals for first-time director Doug Aarniokoski.
The story centers on a blue-collar man in a dying factory town whose life is jolted after becoming involved in a romantic triangle amid a spate of uncontrolled violence.
The film was adapted by Craig Spector from his own novel which he co-wrote with John Skipp. If Spector is to be known at all it would be that he got a story credit on Nightmare on Elm Street: The Dream Child, and that ain't saying much.
As for Doug Aarniokoski, outside of having one hell of a last name, he has been assistant/second unit director on such films as Resident Evil: Extinction and Robert Rodriguez's Once Upon a Time in Mexico.
