Five More Join 'Poseidon Adventure'
Disaster film beginning to fill up.
It seems Wolfgang Petersen's remake of The Poseidon Adventure is going to be a star studded affair as Mia Maestro, Freddy Rodriguez, Kevin Dillon, Jacinda Barrett and Jimmy Bennett have all joined the cast of the disaster epic for Warner Bros. Pictures.
The film already starred Kurt Russell, Emmy Rossum, Richard Dreyfuss, Mike Vogel and Josh Lucas as the tale of a small group of survivors search safety from the bowels of a capsized luxury liner will begin filming on June 18th.
The Hollywood Reporter goes on to say that Maestro will play a stowaway, and Rodriguez portrays a member of the crew. Dillon, who is receiving praise for his work in "Entourage," portrays a blowhard poker player. Barrett and Bennett play a mother-son team trapped on the capsized cruise ship.
The Poseidon Adventure is set for a May 5, 2006 release, currently pitting it up against Mission: Impossible 3.
