20th Century Fox has premiered the first picture of Christian Bale as Moses in Ridley Scott's Exodus, just one of 2014's Biblical epics, this one centering on the story of Moses (Bale) as he leads the Israelites out of Egypt into the Sinai desert and eventually to the Promised Land.

Bale stars in the film alongside Joel Edgerton as Rhamses, Aaron Paul as Joshua, John Turturro as Seti, Sigourney Weaver as Tuya and Ben Kingsley. The film is set for a December 12, 2014 release.

Photoshop Charlton Heston's face over Bale's and I'd have easily believed this was The Ten Commandments. So essentially I don't see a character here at all, I see an actor in a costume on a set. And I know this is just the way Hollywood does things, but Joel Edgerton as and Egyptian? Please.

Goodness, not a lot to be excited about there.

I'm looking forward to the Moses Vs Wolverine crossover, early buzz is good.

Wait it's just a freaking still, why are people already dismissing it...? With that strong a cast, too...

As long as it's proverbial and not actual.

What if it was both? What if it was everything?

Then you'd suddenly find me a fan of Moses "Yay, Moses!"

Honestly, I'm just happy Ridley Scott is still working as much as he is. I'm a massive fan of The Counselor and I enjoy Prometheus quite a bit.

Not to assume anything was directed in any particular direction, but not being bowled over by a still isn't the same as dismissing an entire film (unless it's made by McG of course). But it's just not got a lot to salivate over.

I'm happy enough Scott is working away though, I sense though he's also barrelling through projects from a time perspective as well. He always looks in robust health but at his age how many more big scale productions does he have in him?

Alright, fair enough! Sorry I misinterpreted your comment, sorry about that! I'm not flipping out over this (okay, maybe a little because I didn't expect another Scott Free production so soon), but it just felt like a lot of immediate disinterest... I get that it's not now, sorry about that again!

Yeah... I'm sure his brother's death affected him a bit, and this might be his way of reacting... I don't know. I hope we have many more films from him, but... Gah.

            No apology needed at all.

Besides, I don't really start to dismiss films until I start to see trailers anyway :)!!

              Alright, fair enough!! :)

And I had such respect for him as an actor.
