First Looks at Clint Eastwood's Untitled Nelson Mandela Feature
Damon gets his kicks in South Africa
Gossip blog The Bad and Ugly has uploaded the Internet's first look at Clint Eastwood's upcoming Untitled Nelson Mandela feature currently operating under the working title The Human Factor based on John Carlin's book "The Human Factor: Nelson Mandela and the Game that Changed the World."
The film stars Matt Damon as Francois Pienaar, a rugby star and captatin of the South African team, who along with former South African president Nelson Mandela (Morgan Freeman) created an event that gave the country's whites and blacks a common cause to rally around as the country healed from years of apartheid. Mandela, freed from 27 years in prison and elected president, decided to get behind South Africa’s Springboks team when the country was selected as host country for the 1995 Rugby World Cup. The Springboks had been banned from international competition because of the country’s apartheid practices.
The pictures come from the location set in South Africa. You can check out the complete batch by clicking here or on either of the images in this post.
The film is set to be released this December by Warner Bros.

Did they can their history wrong? It says in the synopsis: "Mandela, freed from 27 years in prison and elected president, decided to get behind South Africa’s Springboks team when the country was selected as host country for the 1985 Rugby World Cup." This cannot be possible as Mandela was elected president of South Africa in 1994.
