First Look at Zack Snyder's 'Legend of the Guardians'

Time for some CG owls from the guy that brought you '300'

The photos in this post come from USA Today's photo gallery featuring brand new images from Zack Snyder's upcoming CG-animated film Legend of the Guardians (previously titled Guardians of Ga'Hoole), a film based on the first three books of Kathryn Lasky's series, which follows Soren (voiced by Jim Sturgess), a young barn owl who is kidnapped by the owls of the St. Aegolius Academy for Orphaned Owls, or St. Aggie's. The academy is supposed to be an orphanage, but instead it brainwashes its pupils into becoming soldiers who will ultimately clash with the wise, peaceful owls of Ga'Hoole.

Along with the images USA Today also posted a feature article where Snyder describes his approach to the film and says instead of what he did with 300, Watchmen and Dawn of the Dead he wanted something "not as hardcore. We wanted a beautiful, computer-generated, 3-D world the kids had never seen before," he said.
