Stephanie at Crazy Critcs managed to score the first look at Seth Rogen as Britt Reid from The Green Hornet, which just began production for a December 17, 2010 release, and she was kind enough to send the images our way.
Co-starring with Rogen in The Green Hornet are Jay Chou as Kato, Cameron Diaz as Lenore Case, Edward James Olmos, Nicolas Cage as Mr. X, David Harbour and Tom Wilkinson. Michel Gondry is directing from a script co-written by Rogen and Evan Goldberg.
Check out the rest of the images out below.

Gondry directing? I'm suddenly intrigued!
WTF?! how did Gondry become the final choice to direct an action driven comedy. I'm sure Rogen and Goldberg ran down the list of "usual suspect" directors. When I first heard the news that Stephen Chow was starring and directing I felt there couldn't have been a better choice considering Chow's battled tested track record with his previous two outings. But when Chow fell out of the project on all levels, my next best guess would have been David Gordon Green seeing how he played the balancing act with Pineapple Express.
Seeing Gondry at the helm worries me personally, having worked for Gondry in the past he changes his shots ON THE GO which is extremely not well suited for a action based film. Nonetheless I'm looking forward to the outcome, whether it be good or bad. Hopefully it'll be the former.
@Pockets O'tool: I must admit this would prob make a funnier movie with Chow directing but you can still guarantee a good movie with Gondry.
What an interesting mixup this is! An action movie… starring Seth Rogen… written by him and Goldenberg (known for teaming up to pen "Superbad" and "Pineapple Express")… and directed by arthouse fave Gondry.
Color me interested.
I'm confused. Is this supposed to be an action film, a comedy, or both? And isn't the premise that Britt Reid is a skilled martial arts fighter? Does anyone think Seth Rogen can pull that off?
yes havn't you seen observe and report
My God, Seth Rogan is the worst choice other than Will Smith to play Britt Reid. Sony is just as stupid to allow rogen to play the Green Hornet. This movie will be a disaster.
