First Look at Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart in 'The Runaways'
Apparition picks up rock flick for March release
Today Apparition announced they have acquired and will release Floria Sigismondi's The Runaways starring Twilight star Kristen Stewart as Joan Jett and Dakota Fanning as Cherie Currie telling the story of their rise from rebellious Southern California kids to rock stars of the now legendary group that paved the way for future generations of girl bands. They fall under the Svengali-like influence of rock impresario Kim Fowley (Michael Shannon), who turns the group into an outrageous success and a family of misfits. With its tough-chick image and raw talent, the band quickly earns a name for itself—and so do its two leads: Joan is the band's pure rock' n' roll heart, while Cherie, with her Bowie-Bardot looks, is the sex kitten.
Along with the announcement we have also received the first look at Stewart and Fanning in the film, which you can see below and slightly larger right here.

Runaways will have its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January.

Which is which? They look so different from normal. Is Dakota the blond and KStew the black-haired one?

Kristen Stewart is so hot, I'm looking forward to seeing this. I wish she was kissing someone other than Dakota though, I still think of her as the creepy kid from War of the Worlds.
No offense to the runaways but if they are going to make a movie about Joan Jett, shouldn't say 3/4 or at least 1/2 of it be about her career as "Joan Jett And The Blackhearts?" Or am I just stupid and don't get it?
@Seiko: The movie is about The Runaways and was based largely on Cherie's book "Neon Angels". While Joan is obviously a big part of the story, it's not a Joan Jett biography as the press keeps referring to it.
