UPDATED: First 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' Pic and Naked Harry?
We are less than a year away...
UPDATE: We now have a full hi-res version of the new still in our gallery right here.
USA Today debuted the pic you see to the right serving as the first officially released image from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I. I am sure I will have a hi-res version in the next couple of days from Warner Bros. and wouldn't be surprised if they offered a couple more in conjunction. Then again, that could just be my wishful thinking.
Along with the image, director David Yates said the first part is "going to feel very real" in comparison with the six previous Potter features. "We're going for a vérité approach. Being away from Hogwarts, they're like these three refugees on the run. They're out in the big bad world, facing real danger, unguarded by those wonderful benign wizards at Hogwarts. They don't have a home to go to. We're kind of pulling away from the magic a bit and bringing more reality to it."
On top of this news, the "naked" part of the headline comes via a Video Business interview located by The Leaky Cauldron. In it Yates discusses a scene fans will remember from the seventh book in which the Horcrux locket causes Ron (Rupert Grint) to imagine his worst fears as they play upon his insecurities and emotions, it is in this scene Daniel Radcliffe playing Harry Potter will show a bit of skin.
In one scene, "a horcrux [carrying a piece of Voldemort's soul] defends itself by producing nightmarish visions, and one shows Hermione and Harry embracing and kissing," explained Yates. "It's something intriguing and sensual for Rupert to react to, and Dan will be bare for that."
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I hits theaters on November 19, 2010 with Part II arriving on July 15, 2011. Personally I can't wait and I am anxious to get my hands on the upcoming December 8 Blu-ray release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. This is one franchise I have a lot of fun with.

Can't wait, personally. It'll be a complete and utter departure, visually at least, from the first six films. I hope the franchise maintains its solidarity to the very end.

:D
YES. Harry Potter builds upon the sensuality that really charged the 6th film.
I just hope the 7th movie (both parts) improve upon the one huge deficiency in J.K. Rowling's series: the fact that she doesn't know how to write about war. Books 6 & 7 suffered because she doesn't know how war works. She's so amazing at mystery, characterization, and plot structure, but not at war. So I hope Movie 7 makes enough changes to help cover that up. Significantly, I want them to dramatize what happens at Hogwarts instead of pidgeonholing it to two pages' worth of summary.
I love the Potter movies, cant wait for the finale
Oh, also there's the King's Cross chapter in the book (which is the philosophical heart of the entire series, and by far the best part of Book 7), in which Harry finds himself naked at first, but gets clothes. Bum shot?
