Final 'Bling Ring' Poster isn't too Impressive

Not exactly getting the masses excited is it?

A24 has premiered the following final poster to promote Sofia Coppola's The Bling Ring and it isn't exactly showing a lot of effort as a still featuring the titular group -- Emma Watson, Israel Broussard, Katie Chang, Taissa Farmiga and Claire Julien -- walking down the street is unlikely to get people interested in what else the film has to offer.

Set to open the Un Certain Regard selection at this year's Cannes Film Festival and serving as the closing night film at the Seattle Film Festival, The Bling Ring will begin hitting theaters on June 14. Here's the plot:

From Oscar award winning writer and director Sofia Coppola, The Bling Ring tells the story of a group of teenagers obsessed with fashion and celebrity that burglarize celebrities' homes in Los Angeles. Tracking their targets' whereabouts online, they break-in and steal their designer clothes and possessions. Reflecting on the naiveté of youth and the mistakes we all make when young, amplified by today's culture of celebrity and luxury brand obsession, we see through the members of the Bling Ring temptations that almost any teenager would feel. What starts out as teenage fun spins out of control and leaves us with a sobering view of our culture today. THE BLING RING stars Emma Watson alongside incredible new talent Israel Broussard, Katie Chang, Claire Julien, and Taissa Farmiga. The film also features Leslie Mann, Gavin Rossdale, and real-life Bling Ring victim, Paris Hilton. It is based on the Vanity Fair article "The Suspects Wore Louboutins" by Nancy Jo Sales.

I'm really pumped for this movie, it's my most anticipated of the summer and second most anticipated of the year, but this is just a terrible poster. And I hate the tagline. The original poster with the sunglasses was much better.

The previous one was a lot better, but I knew there'd be poster showing off Emma Watson and give a sellable vibe to it.

i have very little interest in young people stealing clothes but i'll watch it on rental cuz of the director

Agreed, the poster is unremarkable. You'd think with all of the buzz and anticipation for this film, more effort and creativity would be put into it. Nevertheless, it is the film I am most looking forward to in June.
