Releasing Friday, June 5th from Focus Features

Directed by Academy Award winner Sam Mendes (American Beauty) from an original screenplay by Dave Eggers and Vendela Vida, this funny and heartfelt film follows the journey of an expectant couple (John Krasinski ["The Office"] and Maya Rudolph ["Saturday Night Live"), as they travel the U.S. in search of the perfect place to put down roots and raise their family. Along the way, they have misadventures and find fresh connections with an assortment of relatives and old friends who just might help them discover "home" on their own terms for the first time. The movie features the music of Alexi Murdoch.


Sam Mendes is finally letting his less-serious side show in a film that is certain to play like a comedy when compared to last year's Revolutionary Road. That isn't to say this is an all out comedy as much as it looks like a dramedy, but give that trailer a watch and I expect you will be hooked.


Away We Go was directed by Sam Mendes and the MPAA has rated it R for language and some sexual content.

The cast includes John Krasinski, Maya Rudolph, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Catherine O’Hara, Jeff Daniels, Melanie Lynskey, Allison Janney, Jim Gaffigan and Paul Schneider.
