Releasing Friday, July 24th from Columbia Pictures

The battle of the sexes heats up in Columbia Pictures’ comedy The Ugly Truth. Abby Richter (Katherine Heigl) is a romantically challenged morning show producer whose search for Mr. Perfect has left her hopelessly single. She's in for a rude awakening when her bosses team her with Mike Chadway (Gerard Butler), a hardcore TV personality who promises to spill the ugly truth on what makes men and women tick.


Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler in a romantic comedy? Hmmmm, I'm not so sure about this. Heigl doesn't really interest me all that much and the last time I saw Butler playing all cutesy it was in the travesty that was P.S. I Love You. This one doesn't look like it will be as melodramatic as that one, but I can't say I am necessarily looking forward to this one.


The Ugly Truth was directed by Robert Luketic and the MPAA has rated it R for sexual content and language.

The cast includes Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler.
