Faris Puts On a 'Smiley Face'
Stoner comedy begins production this week.
Anna Faris is probably best known as the resident dim-wit in the Scary Movie franchise and she continues that stereotype this summer in Scary Movie 4, but she isn't stopping there as she has just signed on to star in the stoner comedy Smiley Face for director Gregg Araki.
The film will begin production this week and was penned by first time scripter Dylan Haggerty. The story centers on a young actress and hopeless slacker (Faris) who, after she inadvertently ingests her roommate's pot-laced brownies, attempts to manage her day as it goes awry through a series of misadventures.
Joining Faris in the film are John Krasinski, John Cho and Jane Lynch.
