Fanning is a Dreamworks DREAMER
Dakota Fanning is now set to join Kurt Russell in the drama Dreamer for, ironically, DreamWorks. Apparently the film was originally designed as a father-son vehicle but will be transformed into a father-daughter tale, inspired by a true story and described as a cross between Seabiscuit and
Fanning will portray an 11-year-old girl who's the daughter of a Kentucky horse trainer. The duo rescue a horse with a broken leg, nurse it back to health, then race it in the Breeder's Cup.
The film will also feature Freddy Rodriguez as a former jockey who befriends the girl and is inspired to get his life back on track.
