An Excellent Video Montage of 2007
COMMENT
Remembering just how good the last year was
Nevermind the writers' strike for just a moment. Forget about how 2008 looks to be yet another superhero slathered year and 2009 looks to be a complete bust thanks to the strike. 2007 was a great year for film and while this little montage below is missing a few films it is a great one featuring "Falling Slowly" from Once. If you haven't bought that soundtrack yet you should do so right here.

I am absolutely in love with this montage, especially because it reminds me of moments and scenes that I'd somehow and for some reason slightly forgotten. That scene from Lust, Caution with the dimaond ring just wrecks me, mainly because it reminds me of everything that is about to happen. Priceless. Those Darjeeling Limited and Sunshine snippets also remind me about just how much I adored those films, too. Very happy he slipped those in there.
That said, the person who made this really seems to have a major crush on [J] Juno[/i] (which I admittedly adored, it was tied for ten on my top ten, after all) and Across the Universe, and I'm totally not sure why there are so many scenes from Knocked Up and I Am Legend. But overall it was really good and the choice of music is absolutely perfect. If you really want to know why we all keep saying 2007 is a year that will be remembered for many years to come all you have to do is look at this. Glad you posted it.
And, it goes without saying an additional time, Once is a masterpiece. Buy the soundtrack. Buy the DVD. See the gosh darn movie. It is wondrous.
