First Poster for the 'Evil Dead' Remake Makes a Bold Prediction

Most terrifying movie I'll ever experience eh?

TriStar has revealed the first poster for the Evil Dead remake, which has already released a gory red band trailer (watch above) and now makes quite the bold claim, describing itself as "The Most Terrifying Film You Will Ever Experience".

Directed and co-written by Fede Alvarez, Evil Dead retells the story of five friends holed up at a remote cabin where they discover a Book of the Dead, which releases a demonic force, possessing each until only one is left to fight for survival.

The film is set to hit theaters on April 13, 2013 and features a cast largely made up of unknowns and/or actors known more for their independent, low-budget film work in Shiloh Fernandez, Jane Levy, Jessica Lucas and Lou Taylor Pucci.

Watch the red band trailer. It's on my must see list for next year.

Oh, I didn't see the trailer was posted above. Never mind.

Nope. What made the original Evil Dead shimmer was it's hilariousness. It didn't try to be frightening. I am sick and tired of these Hollywood remakes. What's next, Citizen Kane?

They can't be serious. Evil Dead is a camp city, either they're going an entirely new direction or are being severely sarcastic.

Aren't the Evil Dead movies meant to be horror-comedies? Saying a horror-comedy is the scariest film of all time is simply going to cause some audience disappointment and backlash because it wasn't the true horror film they were promised.

Actually, Evil Dead wasn't all that funny...the hilarousity started with splatsticky Evil Dead 2

Oh, crap...Big words which can only lead to disappoinment. From the red-band trailer you can see that they have stepped the gore up 10 notches but I expect the movie to be lacking any athmosfear and of course Bruce Campbell's charisma....i will pass.
