Ellen Page Set for 'Drag Me to Hell'
She's the star of the moment and now she moves to horror
Variety is reporting that Juno star Ellen Page is set to star in Drag Me to Hell for director Sam Raimi and Universal Pictures.
The film is described as a morality tale about the unwitting recipient of a supernatural curse. Yeah, hardly original, but the fact that Sam Raimi is directing it is sure to draw attention considering all the speculation around Raimi and what would be his next film. Apparently it is not going to be Spider-Man 4 and it all but guarantees that Guillermo del Toro is directing The Hobbit films as uncertainty began to swirl around whether or not Del Toro had indeed shored up the directing gig.
Drag Me to Hell will be Page's next film, which she will follow up with Whip It which marks Drew Barrymore's first directing gig.
This film also marks Raimi's return to horror since directing Army of Darkness back in 1992 as the third installation in his Evil Dead series.
