Eight Clips from 'The Good German'
Clooney and Blanchett star in this noir-ish WWII film
So, the early buzz around The Good German is not looking so good, however, I still want to see it. The trailer looks phenomenal and if it is just a case of good marketing so be it, but I am still looking forward to this flick which is based on the novel by Joseph Kanon.
The story takes place in the ruins of post-WWII Berlin, where U.S. Army war correspondent Jake Geismar (George Clooney) becomes embroiled with Lena Brandt (Cate Blanchett), a former lover whose missing husband is the object of a manhunt by both the American and Russian armies.
So, decide for yourself by checking out the eight new clips from the film we just added as well as the trailer using the links below. The Good German hits theaters on December 15 with limited engagements and then expands on December 25 and again on January 19.
