Eckhart Joins De Palma's 'Dahlia'
Large cast of names adds one more.
Aaron Eckhart is the latest big name to join the cast of Brian De Palma's The Black Dahlia, a film already boasting names such as Hilary Swank, Josh Hartnett, Mark Wahlberg and Scarlett Johansson.
The film is an adaptation of James Ellroy's 1940s-set novel about two LAPD cops who investigate the real-life case of the murder of fledgling actress Elizabeth Short. Eckhart will play one of the officers with Hartnett cast as the other cop. Johansson plays Kay, a doppelganger for the title character, and the object of affection for the two police officers as they investigate the brutal murder.
The picture is just about ready to get underway next month in Bulgaria with Millennium Films and Signature Pictures producing.
