EA's 'SIMS' Getting Feature Film?
This sounds like a bad idea
Electronic Arts' videogame "The SIMS" is a real world simulation game and apparently 20th Century Fox has scooped up the rights to the game and is going to try to turn it into a feature film.
Other than telling us that Brian Lynch will script the live-action feature there is no word on a storyline, and considering the nature of the game I am not sure where they would go with it anyway unless they are going to set up a world where Big Brother is pulling the strings, which might be an interesting idea, but pulling it off would be a completely different story.
As for Lynch's writing credits they include Big Helium Dog and Variety says he also took part in Scary Movie 3, but IMDb doesn't list him as one. Even still, those aren't exactly impressive credits one way or another.
I am going to go ahead and assume we will never see this movie and if we do it will be crap, that's my call.
