As I said though, the second season doesn’t quite have the intrigue of the first. With the first season things were new, the style of the show was unique and brand new as it added a little more of a personal element than shows such as “C.S.I.” with characters that are a little too hard edged to really have much sympathy for. Instead of only focusing on the crime being solved “Without a Trace” adds this human element to the point that the end result is almost secondary to the experience of watching the team interact and try to solve it.
However, if this is a favorite show of yours, you aren’t getting anything beyond the 24 second season episodes. Outside of lost kids, millionaires and everything else that needs to be found all you get are the episodes and a selection of deleted scenes on each disc. Personally I am not complaining, but some of you may have wanted more, but you aren’t going to get it.
Never mind the missing special features, the show is well worth it, but be sure you also pick up the first season as well if you haven’t already. This is a show that you should own; Lord knows it is ten times better than a lot of the trash on TV now.
