Team America - World Police (Special Collector's Unrated Edition) is a Paramount Home Entertainment release and has not yet been rated by the MPAA.

The running time is 1 hr. 38 mins..

You all heard the rumors, and now they have come to pass as Paramount Home Video has released the Unrated and Uncensored Team America: World Police DVD, finally giving all you pervs out there a chance to see just how graphic puppet sex can get... Okay, I was curious too.

With Team America, "South Park" creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, attack social and political agendas head on, taking no prisoners as the right and left side of the agenda are tackled with equal force. This time, instead of construction paper drawn little boys, we have marionettes acting out the dramatized social commentary as a group of freedom fighters known as Team America set to rid the world of terrorism all while destroying landmarks and monuments, pissing off celebrities and getting into randy sex along the way, and by randy I mean this gets intense.

While wooden in nature it only takes a few minutes into the film to learn that a puppet can bleed, and then a few more to realize that there are a lot more body functions these puppets have, some of which weren't seen in theaters as this Unrated and Uncensored cut of the film is likely to be the one most consumers buy. After all what good is puppet sex if you don't get to see it all?

On top of Golden Showers and Hot-Carls, this DVD also holds a large number of featurettes designed around the making of the film, all of which are actually quite good, you won't believe how much goes into bringing these damned puppets to life.

First you have a collection of short production based featurettes (Building The World, Crafting the Puppets, Pulling The Strings, Capturing The Action, Miniature Pyrotechnics, Up Close With Kim Jong-Il, Dressing Room Test and Puppet Test). All of these are pretty much self explanatory, but the best of the bunch is certainly the Capturing The Action and Miniature Pyrotechnics features as you get to see just how they blew these little sets up, created a rolling ball of fire as well as made it look like a dam was just blown to pieces as the water began to flow.

The featurette Team America: An Introduction is a look at the creation of the film as well, but this is where you will hear Parker and Stone take some shots at the acting community as a whole and Jerry Bruckheimer (they really don't like his movies). The set is completed with a group of deleted scenes and outtakes, animated storyboards and trailers.

Overall, I think this set is well worth the money, but only for those with a sense of humor and immature enough to enjoy crude language and exploding puppet heads. I have already watched it several times and it is like listening to a Jerky Boys CD if you leave it running in the background... always good times.
