Stuck On You is a Fox Home Entertainment release and is rated PG-13.

The running time is 1 hr. 58 mins..

Everyone knows the Farrelly brothers primarily for their huge hits There's Something About Mary and Dumb and Dumber, but lately their movies seem to be falling a bit off from their earlier efforts.

Starting with Shallow Hal and now to Stuck on You, their movies seem to be moving more to the message delivering realm as opposed to just bringing the laugh-out-loud comedy we have come to expect.

Stuck on You is the story of Walt (Kinnear) and Bo (Damon), who have been joined since birth by an eight-inch piece of flesh at the hip. Their lives had become rather routine and Walt has aspirations to make more of his life and wants to move out of Martha's Vineyard to Hollywood in an attempt to become an actor. Now this isn't the worst film ever it's just that it seems to remove itself from trying to make you laugh and turns into more of a drama flick by the time the movie ends.

The story goes on from there, and you can get a better taste for the movie by reading my theatrical review here, but let's talk DVD.

Even though this isn't my favorite movie this DVD does have one hell of a good audio commentary during the film where the Farrelly brothers give a much different commentary than you normally hear on DVDs. I think Peter sums it up best at the very end of the commentary, which runs through the majority of the credits, when he says, "Well you didn't learn much about movies, but you did learn about our friends."

This statement couldn't be more true as they find the time to point out and name just about everyone in the entire cast whether they are completely in the shot or not. While they do talk a bit about the creation process of the film it is really a telling commentary about what kind of directors they really are, and it seems by watching the special features on the disc that they are extremely well respected by the people that work with them.

Speaking of other special features let's first talk about the featurette titled "It's Funny: The Farrelly Formula", which is more or less a butt kissing fest for the Farrellys, bringing together several of the people that worked with them in the past such as Renee Zellweger, Jason Alexander, Gwyneth Paltrow, Matt Damon, Jack Black and more to talk about how much they liked working with them, and just what type of guys they are.

Next up we have two features based on the "making-of" Stuck on You, the first is called "Stuck Together: Bringing Stuck on You to the Screen", which is primarily interesting since you learn about all that went into bring this film to the main stage and that this was a script that took 11 years to bring to the big screen as the Farrellys had a hard time getting it picked up by a production company. I guess a couple of hits really help the ol' career.

The second "making-of" feature is much more interesting as it focuses on the makeup effects that Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear had to endure to be joined together at the hip. It goes into detail about the 8-hour process and you will be amazed to see just what is real and what is not after watching this section, and will definitely have you looking closer once the film starts.

After that you have your usual deleted scenes, which like the majority of deleted scenes are boring and worthless, and you also get a Blooper Reel, which isn't really that funny at all unfortunately.

Overall, this is not really the worst DVD you could buy, since I am sure that die-hard Farrelly fans will pick it up for sure and there are certain to be several people out there that enjoyed the film's story a lot. I think that once you get over the disappointment that this is not the laugh riot you may have been expecting the film isn't all that bad. Plus I cannot say it enough how good the commentary track is, it is just as original as much of the Farrellys' work.
