Napoleon Dynamite is a Fox Home Entertainment release and is rated PG.

The running time is 1 hr. 35 mins..

What the hell is all the fuss about this moron named Napoleon Dynamite? I am sorry I just don't see what is supposed to be so funny as this film takes advantage of obvious attempts at humor and manages to steal a couple of chuckles out of me, only leaving me to feel as if I had just wasted 95 minutes of my life by the time it was over, and yes I watched all the credits and the moronic wedding after them.

Napoleon Dynamite is described as a new kind of hero, but he is nothing more than an idiot and his self described tight 'fro, sweet moon boots and skills are no more entertaining than watching paint dry. Once Napoleon teams up with a couple of his new friends, Pedro and Deb, who are just as entertaining to the audience as Napoleon himself, they decide to try to get Pedro elected as class president.

Doesn't that sound exciting?

Now I could tell you about a couple of things that made me laugh, such as when Napoleon's Uncle Rico hits him in the head with a cooked steak or when Napoleon is yelling at his grandmother's pet llama, but for about two minutes of laughs you must endure another 93 minutes of hell.

As for the features you get an audio commentary, an original short film titled "Peluca" with optional commentary, a making-of featurette, deleted scenes and a couple of other worthless features.

Obviously this movie didn't impress me and neither did the features so it would be a waste of both your time and mine for me to continue berating them.

I should tell you, however, that this film has been met with a modicum of approval and several people are finding it funny so I don't want to completely discourage you from ignoring it, but I do want to warn you to rent it before you buy since I found it to be far from funny.
