Kill Bill: Volume Two is a Miramax Home Entertainment release and is rated R.

The running time is 2 hrs. 17 mins..

I am still wondering if the Kill Bill movies are considered a success here in the States or not considering neither one of them grossed $100 million at the box-office. Then again, taking overseas figures into account they both then jump up a few notches. Either they are both two polar opposite films, that should be seen as two examples of movie-making masterpieces. People could argue on both sides of the fence as to which one is better, but when it comes down to it they are both excellent movies.

Unfortunately for consumers the debate as to whether or not they are good movies is not necessarily the question here, the debate here is whether or not it is worth it to buy the first release of the DVDs when you know that there will be special editions somewhere down the line merging the two films and adding additional footage, making your original purchases obsolete.

To slightly counter this issue Miramax Home Entertainment does offer $5 off Kill Bill: Volume One and Volume 2 if you purchase the two at the same time, but the fact remains you still aren't getting all the goods.

As for me, I think if you are a die hard fan you are going to buy it no matter what, so let me tell you what you are in store for.

First off the movie looks and sounds great especially with the added bonus of DTS sound as Tarantino certainly paid attention to every detail in making these movies all the way down to the hammer of the nail through the coffin.

Next to special features, if you are anything like me the most anticipated thing about this DVD release was to finally check out the deleted scene involving David Carradine taking on Michael Jai White and his henchman and you will be happy to learn that it is worth the wait, and a good reason to hold off on purchasing this DVD until the scene is integrated into the movie.

This little 4+ minute scene will give Volume 2 a taste of Volume 1 style as it is quite gory and delivered in a similar fashion as the fight scenes in the first installment.

You also get a making-of featurette extremely similar to the one on the first DVD, just adapted to Volume 2, but it is pretty cool to listen to Quentin "ego-maniac" Tarantino go deeper into the story of the Kill Bill saga.

Another little feature is a look at a small concert composer Robert Rodriguez gave at the Kill Bill: Volume 2 premiere with his band Chingon, which really could have been left off the disc as far as I am concerned.

So, after all that have we gotten anywhere as far as you making your decision?

Either way, this is a great movie and I am sure at one point or another, if this is your cup 'o tea, you will be buying it, and if the time to buy is now you may be interested in a collectible box being offered over at BestBuy.com to house both your Volume One and Volume Two DVDs, click here to check it out for $7.99.
