Kill Bill: Volume One is a Miramax Home Entertainment release and is rated R.

The running time is 1 hr. 51 mins..

I cannot begin to tell you how excited I was when the Kill Bill: Vol. 1 DVD came in the mail, it was like Christmas, I mean this was one of my favorite movies last year and in my opinion the best Quentin Tarantino has ever delivered to movie audiences.

I won't go into how much I liked the film primarily due to the fact that I received a lot of gruff due to the fact that my original review was too long, so I will spare you, but let me say this, "I LOVE THIS MOVIE!"

So on to the disc, and what you have to look forward to...

First off the video is awesome, all the colors pop as the film goes from color, to black-and-white, to Japanese anime. Secondly the audio is all you could ever ask for with a Dolby Digital 5.1 track and, my favorite, a DTS track.

As far as special features go that is where the disc fails, offering a 25 minute "Making Of" segment, a couple of unnecessary music videos by "The 5, 6, 7, 8's" and a section where you an watch the trailers for Quentin Tarantino's movies, including the teaser for Kill Bill: Volume 2.

Now when I say fails, basically it is due to the fact there is no director commentary, deleted scenes, outtakes, and so on, which leads me into whether or not you should buy this DVD or wait.

Don't get me wrong, the "Making Of" featurette is great but, it has already been mentioned that Tarantino plans on releasing both Volume 1 and Volume 2 on DVD and then put together a Special Edition, which will include both movies and a bunch of goodies.

With that said, I can tell you that if you don't buy this DVD and you are a fan you will be making several runs to the video store, so I can only suggest you fork over the money now, and then again for Volume 2, then again for both, I am sure you won't be disappointed.
