Curse of the Bambino (DVD)

Narrated by Ben Affleck The Curse of the Bambino is an outrageously funny look at what may be the only real life curse as the Boston Red Sox have suffered immeasurable amounts of set backs since their owner traded away "The Babe" to the Yankees.

The Red Sox where on their way to moving into a major dynasty after winning five of the first 15 World Series, but that all changed after Sox owner Harry Frazee sold George Herman Ruth, better known as Babe Ruth, to the New York Yankees. Since that time amazing things have occurred setting up blockades to the Sox ever winning another championship.

This 60-minute feature goes all the way back to the beginning and while it is wrong to laugh at the misfortune of others, it is the situation in which the follies happen that you jut can't help but laugh. As the tale of The Curse of the Bambino is told through the lives of Sox fans famous and not so famous, you get a real life look at just how important baseball is to some people and how that can begin to take an affect on you.

I am not one to watch baseball but there is no denying that baseball stories just may be the best there are as there is so much history behind the game and obviously a lot of superstition surrounding the wins and losses.
