Noth and Daniel H. Blatt (TNT's Kissinger and Nixon and The Virginian) executive-produce the two-hour film; Adam Bernstein (Scrubs, Ed) is the director and Howard Korder (Stealing Sinatra) wrote the screenplay adaptation.
"We are thrilled to team with Chris Noth and this amazing cast to bring Bruno's characters to the screen," said Michael Wright, senior vice president of movies and miniseries, TNT. "In the spirit of Out of Sight and Midnight Run, Bad Apple is a fast-paced drama with black comedic overtones, making it a perfect fit with TNT's 'We Know Drama' brand."
Bad Apple tells the compelling story of FBI agent Mike Tozzi (Noth) and his long-time partner, Cuthbert Gibbons, (Meaney) in an unconventional tale of the underbelly of New York's criminal world. Ruehl will play Lorraine, Gibbons' outspoken wife; Gould will play Buddha Stanzione, a mob kingpin; Patrick will play Tony Bells, a local wiseguy and Dominczyk will play Gina, a well-connected woman who complicates Tozzi's love life.
