It's been a long time since there were enough stupid online stories to create a Rumor Mill Roundup, but thanks to fanboy excitement and a lack of stories to copy out of Variety and The Hollywood Reporter we have a fresh batch of inane items from around the Internet to dazzle the eye and illuminate the senses. Let's get started shall we…

First off, Sony Pictures is handling the international distribution of Terminator Salvation and as a coming out prize they bring a Flash animated motion poster picturing the destruction of Los Angeles as it turns into the robotic face of a Terminator. You think that is just a coincidence? Guess again. Check it out here.

RUMOR: Sylvester Stallone hints at the possibility that Dolph "Ivan Drago" Lundgren may find a role in his next flick The Expendables and fighting against Jet Li. The film already stars Stallone, Li and Jason Statham. I couldn't be any more excited.

Criterion is now offering some of their collection for online viewing for $5.

Eric Snider has posted his "rejected" screenplay for Twilight and it has some good laughs. Here's a snippet, get the full deal right here"

Scene 4

JACOB: You should be careful with those Cullens. Many moons ago, our tribe's elders, who were werewolves, made a pact with the Cullens, who were vampires. They're not allowed on our land, not even at our casinos.
BELLA: What, still? Even after all this time has passed?
JACOB: Nope.
BELLA: Since when do white people honor treaties with Indians?
JACOB: I know, right?
BELLA: Let me guess — you're a character whose only job is to provide exposition, and you won't be useful until the next book.
JACOB: Yes. At the earliest.

NEW PICTURES: Woody Allen's Whatever Works, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Adventureland, Where the Wild Things Are

NEW POSTERS: Notorious, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, Taken, Bride Wars, Adventureland, Fired Up

Ain't It Cool News has a ridiculous rumor saying the next I Am Legend film may actually be a sequel and not a prequel as previously mentioned. I say it's ridiculous only if Will Smith is somehow planning on returning as was announced. Otherwise, good on 'em. Perhaps the best part of the whole thing is taking news from someone referring to themselves as "Westwood9"… Yeah, I think the same source gives the "New York Times" tips daily.

Apparently there is a Star Trek comic in the works and due in January 2009.

Ain't It Cool News got word from a Incredible Hulk star Tim Blake Nelson that he plans on playing The Leader in the next Hulk film:

AICN: Great well what about a potential HULK sequel? Gale Anne Hurd's been going around talking about how you might be The Leader and the main villain of the next one.
Tim Blake Nelson: That's the plan. That's what they tell me, but I don't know when that's happening or what the details are but I am eager to do it and I hear that's in the works. I would tell you if I knew more, but I honestly don't.

AICN: Yeah, but you haven't played a comic-book villain yet right?
Tim Blake Nelson: No, but I had a great time doing HULK, so if they want me for HULK 2 I'm there, it certainly was the plan going into HULK 1. When I met with them they said this is where it’s headed so I'm eager to do it.

Nelson played Dr. Samuel Sterns in the first flick and tried to help Bruce Banner (Ed Norton) cure his affliction.

William Shatner Comments on the Enterprise and Captain Kirk Reacts to new Star Trek Trailer

SUPERHERO POLL: Readers at Newsarama.com want "Fringe" star Mark Valley to play Captain America.

RUMOR: Pirates of the Caribbean 4 speculated to be coming by way of Disney 3-D.

RUMOR: Kung Fu Panda director John Stevenson is said to be attached to direct the new He-Man film.

Finally, Robert Downey Jr. talked to MTV about The Avengers spin-off featuring a superhero team-up and said:

The danger you run with colliding all these worlds is [director] Jon [Favreau] was very certain that 'Iron Man' should be set in a very realistic world. Nothing that happened in 'Iron Man' is really outside the realm of possibility. Once you start talking about Valhalla and supersized super soldiers and jolly green giants it warrants much further discussion.

And that's a wrap…
