Director for Bond 22 in Talks
Roger Michell may be 007's next director
After what seemed like forever for everything to come together for the 21st installment in the James Bond series, Casino Royale, the producers of the film are already making plans for the follow up as U.K.-based helmer Roger Michell is in talks to direct Bond 22.
The news comes out of The Hollywood Reporter, but they do go on to say that Columbia Pictures declined comment on the news. However, sources tell THR that the 22nd film in the franchise will be based on an original idea from Bond producer Michael Wilson. At the moment they are looking for a screenwriter.
Daniel Craig plays Bond in Casino Royale and will be back for the next film. Craig has worked with Michell in the past on the 2004 drama Enduring Love, but Michell is probably best known as the helmer of the popular Julia Roberts flick Notting Hill.
