Diaz is 'Keeper' of Cassavetes
New role for the tabloid star
Cameron Diaz seems to be making more waves in tabloids now as her fractured love life seems to be more important than her acting career, but she is still working as she has just joined the adaptation of Jodi Picoult's
novel "My Sister's Keeper" for director Nick Cassavetes and New Line Cinema.
The drama was adapted by Jeremy Leven and Diaz will play a former defense attorney who returns to the courtroom to defend herself and her husband when they are sued by their 13-year-old daughter for emancipation. The girl was conceived as a genetic match with the hope she could prolong her cancer-ridden sister's life.
Hmmmm, it seems like the magic of Hollywood is going to tempt fate again. This time they will set out to make Cameron Diaz a lawyer. It's magic folks. Magic!
Filming will begin early 2008.
