Diane Kruger Literally Talks about Her 'Inglourious Basterds' Screen Test – Literally

This Sunday's "New York Times Magazine" will feature the above Quentin Tarantino and Diane Kruger photo spread and editorial and their online video magazine has added the 4:44 minute feature interview with Kruger (shown to the right) in which she talks about her dream of coming to America, her screen test for Quentin Tarantino for Inglourious Basterds and her love of Mary Poppins all while using the word "literally" in just about every sentence.
As always with the "Times," the interview is quite entertaining and Kruger is a fun listen especially considering the moment the German-born actress says Tarantino didn't believe she was German. Good stuff. She's definitely an actress I have enjoyed watching since her break out role as Helen in Troy in 2004.
Kruger stars in Tarantino's Basterds as German actress and undercover agent Bridget Von Hammersmark who works with Lieutenant Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt) who is organizing a group of Jewish soldiers to engage in targeted acts of retribution on a mission to take down the leaders of The Third Reich.

She starts out fine, but then the l-bombs just start flying.
Wow! I cant wait to see Inglorious Basterds! and Diane Kruger is a little more engaging than I thought her to be. I love when she sings the Mary Poppins song in German. I will go see ANY Brad Pitt film because he chooses so many interesting roles and hardly EVER dissappoints. The pictures of Quentin Tarentino and Diane Kruger are pretty riveting….I dont know whether to be intrigued or repulsed by them! Anyway, love love love Brad Pitt, and cant wait to see the beautiful Angelina Jolie on the Cannes Red Carpet.
Quentin Tarentino acts a little creepy sometimes, but I think his movies are pretty good! The pictures of he and Diane Kruger are beautiful….kinda like beauty and the BEAST. Brad Pitt is true gorgeousness at his mid-forties age, and it's great to see him and Quentin team up….cause I loved Brad in his small part as the 'weed head' in TRUE ROMANCE which was written by Tarentino. I will DEFINITELY be at the Inglorious Basterds film on opening day in August!!! Go Brad!
Diane Kruger's got nothin' on Angelina Jolie…..both of them are of German heritage.
Diane Kruger was truly blah in Troy, but I have high hopes for her in Inglorious Basterds. Brad Pitt looks awesome in it…

I loved the interview, but I think the most important piece of the article is this new poster. It clearly shows that Lt. Raine there had his throat slit, which is definitely going to be a plot point. This movie WILL be Tarentino's masterpiece.
