Depp, Bale and Mann Talk 'Public Enemies' In New Featurette
Forget June, bring on July...
A new featurette for Universal Pictures' Public Enemies has arrived online featuring footage from the film coupled with interview commentary with director Michael Mann and stars Johnny Depp and Christian Bale. The film is set to hit theaters on July 1 and is certain to be a summer must-see, but may in fact prove to be a film to watch out for come awards season.
Michael Mann (Heat, Collateral) penned the script based on Brian Burrough's nonfiction book "Public Enemies: America's Greatest Crime Wave and the Birth of the FBI, 1933-34" Public Enemies is set during the great crime wave of 1933-34, when the government’s attempts to stop Depression-era criminal legends such as John Dillilnger (Depp), Baby Face Nelson and Pretty Boy Floyd transformed J. Edgar Hoover’s FBI into the country’s first federal police force.
Check out the featurette below and for more on the film including additional video, pictures and cast information click here.

I was planning on writing a long winded tirade on my excitement for this, but I figure one word will do: Awesome!

Thanks for posting this! Thanks to the great converter box changeover, I don't get this channel anymore, so I missed it last night. Ditto Adison and Teresa!
Well, if you're around Indiana you can see this one day earlier:
HOBART (IN) – Lake County officials are hoping special screenings of the movie ‘‘Public Enemies" starring Johnny Depp as gangster John Dillinger will help raise money to restore the Old Sheriff's House and Jail.
The screenings will be June 30 at Kerasotes ShowPlace 12 in Hobart before the movie opens nationwide July 1.
Tickets for the 6 p.m. showing are $50, and ticket holders will receive concessions at the theater as well as a pass to the John Dillinger Museum inside the Indiana Welcome Center in Hammond and a voucher to tour the Old Sheriff's House and former Lake County Jail in Crown Point, where some scenes were shot last March.
Tickets to the second showing are $125 per couple and $75 per individual and include an invitation to a VIP party.
Depp and Bale!!
I cant wait this movie.
Bale is sooo HOT!
hey as a side, anyone know the name of that song playing at the end of the trailer there. i love the guitar sound on it.
@polishprince
I believe it's called 10 million slaves by Otis Young.
Finally a film where Bale doesn't sand paper his throat for the role.
this movie is getting really bad reviews from the early screenings, its hard to believe, i have faith in michael mann, after all he made the last of the mohicans. i hope this makes up for the terminator blunder.
It will certainly need good reviews since it's up against Ice Age 3 on it's openning weekend.
I was an extra at roscoe & clark near wrigley field in chicago. The scene included depp and channing tatum – a cigar shop with a betting parlor in the back room. This is going to be a blockbuster of a movie!!!!!
