Denzel and Tony Scott Go for Round 4
Back in a familiar saddle for the movie duo
It seems Denzel Washington and Tony Scott have the same actor-to-director relationship Tony's brother Ridley has with Russell Crowe as Tony and Denzel are set to work together once again in a Scott-directed remake of The Taking of Pelham One Two Three for Sony Pictures reports Entertainment Weekly.
Pelham was originally released in 1974 and directed by Joseph Sargent starring Walter Matthau and Robert "Quint" Shaw. In the pic Washington would take on the role played by Matthau in the original as a cop who must stop a hijacked subway car.
Scott and Washington last worked together on Déjà Vu and also made Man on Fire and Crimson Tide together. Pelham would mark the fourth time the two worked together.
Ironically you can see Denzel in American Gangster in November, which was directed by Tony's brother Ridley Scott, which also stars, yup you guessed it, Russell Crowe.
