Dempsey is 'Made of Honor'
'Grey's' Star finds feature role
Remember when Patrick Dempsey was in Can't Buy Me Love and then fell off the face of the Earth only to become "McDreamy" on ABC's "Grey's Anatomy"? How the hell did that happen? My question is not whether or not Dempsey had the chops, my question is trying to figure out where he was. Since Can't Buy Me Love in 1987 probably his most recognizeable role was in Sweet Home Alabama in 2002 and then, of course, "Grey's."
Whatever happened it all seems to be looking up now as he has a role in the upcoming Hilary Swank drama Freedom Writers, a part in Disney's Enchanted and now he will topline Made of Honor for Columbia Pictures.
The romantic comedy is about a guy (Dempsey) whose dream girl asks him to be her maid of honor. He agrees in an attempt to win her heart.
There is no director as of yet.
