Damon Tapped for Loose Dick Adaptation
Looks like 'Bourne 4' will have to wait a little longer
Matt Damon became a Universal favorite with the success of the Bourne franchise and word has it they are still working on a fourth film, but until then Variety reports Damon is set to star in The Adjustment Bureau, which is loosely based on a Philip K. Dick story.
George Nolfi, who co-wrote The Bourne Ultimatum, penned the script and will direct the story which is described as a contemporary love story with sci-fi overtones. Damon will play a charismatic congressman who seems destined for national political stardom. He meets a beautiful ballet dancer, only to find strange circumstances keeping their sparks from catching fire.
Universal is distributing and it looks like filming will begin once Damon finishes work on Clint Eastwood's upcoming Nelson Mandela film, which Variety is still referring to as The Human Factor even though Warner Bros. is yet to officially announce the title. Damon will also be seen in Green Zone for Bourne director Paul Greengrass and The Informant for Steven Soderbergh later this year.
Nolfi, on top of this film, is penning the next Bourne film.
