Craven's 'House' Remake Filled with Iliadis
Nope, that isn't Latin...
Have you heard of Dennis Iliadis? No? Really? Word on the street is that he is the next Neill Blomkamp, but whatever.
Anyway, my boy Iliadis is set to direct the remake of Wes Craven's (pictured) The Last House on the Left, the 1972 directorial debut of Craven that set the master of horror on a path to The Hills Have Eyes, A Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream.
Word from Craven is that the remake will retain the spirit of the original, about killers who inadvertently seek refuge with the parents of one of their victims, but aim for a more realistic tone. Adam Alleca is on board to rewrite the current draft of the script.
So why Idialis? Apparently they liked his little crime pic Hardcore
Craven expects to begin production on The Last House on the Left early next year.
