Craig Talks and Moore Negotiates for 'Blindness'
Lots of chit chat mumbo jumbo
The Hollywood Reporter is running a curious little article that proves many of their articles are basically publicists send them info to increase their actor/actress's profiles in order to get the deals done (you hear me Shia LaBeouf?). Apparently Daniel Craig is in talks and Julianne Moore is in negotiations to star in the Fernando Meirelles-helmed drama Blindness for Focus Features International.
Just to recap, Craig is talking and Moore is negotiating, but nothing is finalized yet.
The film is an adaptation of Nobel Prize winner Jose Saramago's acclaimed novel, which chronicles an epidemic of blindness that sweeps through an unnamed contemporary city and pushes society to the brink of breakdown. Don McKeller penned the adaptation.
Currently the film has an international distribution through Focus, but nothing domestic has been set up yet. That will probably happen once Moore and Craig officially sign on.
