20th Century Fox has released three clips from Ridley Scott's The Counselor featuring Michael Fassbender as a Southwest lawyer who thinks he can dip a toe into the drug business without getting sucked down. In the three clips we see as his character sits down with Brad Pitt as a character named Westray, Javier Bardem as Reiner and Penelope Cruz as Laura.

I have done my best to avoid any plot details beyond what I've written above since I want to go into this one free and clear as it's one of my more anticipated films for the second half of the year.

The screenplay was written by Cormac McCarthy and the film hits theaters on October 25. Watch the three clips below and stay tuned for the full trailer tomorrow

The clips didn't blow me away but they are only mean't to promote the new trailer so I'm fine with it.

    Gotta love McCarthy's dialogue.

      Indeed.

so well as an unsettling mood and the cinematography isn't something I notice in non-Sci-Fi Ridley Scott films, along with the cast of Fassbender, Pitt, Bardem who usually pick good material. I'm really looking forward to this.

It's a pity that there wasn't a clip featuring my most anticipated performance from this film. Namely, that of Cameron Diaz, who finally seems to have picked up a solid dramatic role after many years.

I think she's a good actress too but her early career was all about her looks and I think that will overshadow her ability for the foreseeable future unfortunately

I'm very optimistic about this film. Scott has certainly assembled one helluva team, with top-notch actors, screenwriter, etc. Can't wait.

    Thems the facts

Brad do you know if Ridley Scott will dedicate the film to his brother?
