Cotillard Joins Crowe in 'Good Year'
Ridley has his leading lady.
Eucalyptus may have hit the skids, and Russell Crowe may have hit the hotel worker with a phone, but Marion Cotillard has hit the jackpot as she has been chosen as the leading lady opposite Crowe in Ridley Scott's next film A Good Year for Fox 2000. Along with Cotillard, Albert Finney, Aaron Eckhart and Didier Bourdon have also joined the cast.
The film is based on the novel by Peter Mayle and is about a failed London banker Max Skinner (Crowe), who moves to Provence, France, to tend a vineyard he inherited from his uncle (Finney). There, he encounters Cotillard's character, a beautiful California woman who says she is a long-lost cousin and lays claim to the property. Hollander plays a pompous, scheming real estate broker.
